We are so grateful to have received Ecco Domani’s 2022 grant and the opportunity to create a limited-edition design — and now also to be part of the legacy of this program and its previous brilliant design partners. Our wine bottle design is centered around stars and was inspired by the meaning of Ecco Domani, “Here’s Tomorrow” — the idea of looking to the future, hope, and aspiration reminded us of the electric energy of New York, which is at the root of PRIVATE POLICY. We love how the act of star-gazing leads to inspired thinking and hope for the future. The sparkling lights of New York City, while viewed from afar, make one excited for the infinite possibilities life has to offer. For us, the limited-edition bottle encapsulates the futuristic design and vision of both of our brands. Ecco Domani’s 2022 grant will be funding PRIVATE POLICY's community projects and business development. As an emerging fashion brand, the funding support will make a big difference for us in realizing our unique vision.

Q: How did your partnership with Ecco Domani Pinot Grigio begin and can you describe how your brand purpose aligns with theirs?”
A: We were introduced to ECCO DOMANI by CFDA, as it is a many-year collaboration between Ecco Domani and American fashion designers. PRIVATE POLICY’s vision is to bring fresh perspectives and meaningful social topics through our fashion platform. We see that Ecco Domani also has a forward-thinking approach in their field of authentic Italian wines, as well as encourages self-expression.
Q: How does the design of the bottle align with the Private Policy aesthetic and who do you hope to reach with its unique design?”
A: We are always inspired by the effortless yet powerful style of the New York youth. This bottle design captures the essence of the future, hope, and aspiration in a modern way. We love how the act of star-gazing leads to inspired thinking and hope for the future. The sparkling lights of New York City, while viewed from afar, make one excited for the infinite possibilities life has to offer. We hope this bottle design resonates with the ones with a free and energetic spirit, and bring them joy and hope on their journey to achieve dreams.
Q: How is the meaning of Ecco Domani “Here’s Tomorrow” translated in the non-binary and inclusive fashion world?
A: Since the beginning of the brand, PRIVATE POLICY believes that the future is non-binary, inclusive, and free. When we learned about Ecco Domani’s concept as well as the meaning of the name “Here’s Tomorrow”, we are very excited to highlight this in the partnership.
Q: How do you feel the partnership and bottle design highlight inclusivity?
A: When we are designing the bottle, we are referencing the night sky stars, but also the idea of “stars” as the aspirational figures of the society. Sometimes, we forget how the world is not about a single “star”, it is the many stars, all kinds of stars together, that make a magical scene. So our design is a burst of stars, all unique, to show the energy, but also the sense of community and inclusion.
